Private lessons are one of the best ways to learn to dance! Unlike a group class, in a private lesson you get the undivided attention of your teacher for the entire 55 minutes. One of the outstanding features at 3rd Street Dance is the fact that we have 4 private studios. We also offer private lessons from the comfort of your own home. These lessons can be done in person or via Zoom.

There are many reasons why people choose to take private lessons, including preparing for a special occasion. We specialize in wedding choreography and creating that memorable first dance. We have over 40 years of experience in creating customized choreography and teaching people how to dance for weddings, anniversaries, Quinceañera's, corporate parties, prom and more. 

 

People also choose to study privately to gain confidence, learn a new skill, enhance their training or improve technique. The entire time is yours to work on whatever you would like, such as turns, leading and following skills, or a particular step .

 

If you want to study a specialized style of dance such as West Coast Swing, Hustle, Viennese, Waltz, or International Ballroom, our talented staff can teach any of these dances and many more from a beginning to competitive level.

 

Private lessons may be purchased on a lesson-by-lesson basis, or in  packages of four, six or ten lessons for a better value.  

 

If you would like to make an appointment for a private lesson, please contact us via phone or email. Most private lessons are booked a week or more in advance. However, same day appointments are sometimes available.

 

All private lessons must be paid for in advance.
