Salsa

Salsa is an upbeat Latin dance that is easy to learn! Salsa is very popular in Los Angeles and there are lots of night clubs where you can go dancing. It evolved in the 70's when dancers started to mix Mambo, a popular Latin dance from the 40's and 50's, with the exciting and quick turning patterns of the Hustle, a 70's disco dance. Bachata, Merengue, Cumbia, Cha-Cha and Mambo are all "sister" dances of Salsa and we teach those as part of the salsa curriculum and also offer them as specialty workshops and bootcamps. These dances are also very popular in L.A.'s nightclub scene.
